“Bulletin Boards: Prints Into Books and Films, In Conversation with Danny Lyon”

In keeping with Danny Lyon’s ‘Message to the Future’ legacy exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art (2016), we’re excited to announce today the first FotoFilmic Scholarship designed to welcome 1 student or recent graduate to the artist’s much anticipated 2-day Seminar in Vancouver!
The idea of intergenerational dialogue and bridging minds over time is important to Danny who stands as a defining inspiration to younger generations, such as with the ‘Occupy’ movement a few years back. The FotoFilmic Scholarship is intended to reflect this while providing a budding photographer or artist the unique opportunity to connect in depth and in person with Danny’s 50+ years groundbreaking career.



SCHEDULE: Applications are now open and running until Sunday, March 31, Midnight Pacific Time. The Scholarship Winner will be announced on Monday, April 8, 2019.
COST: FotoFilmic Scholarship applications are free of charge.
WHAT’S INCLUDED: The FotoFilmic Scholarship covers 100% of the tuition cost to register for Danny Lyon’s June 14-15 Seminar. Traveling and accommodations remain the responsibility of the Scholarship Winner. FotoFilmic does however assist all participants to book lodging and travel to the Seminar venue.
ELIGIBILITY: students pursuing careers in and being currently enrolled in photography, the visual arts & journalism are welcome to apply. Both undergraduate & graduate students are eligible. If selected proof of enrolment will be required. There is no country or age limitations. Recent graduates (January 2018 and after) are also encouraged to apply.
