Why do you photograph on film?
Film provides a wide spectrum of color and a strong physical structure that I find aesthetically pleasing and conceptually relevant. When recording the experience of light through a lens, film has the unique ability to turn that interaction into something physical that can potentially carry something of emotional and cultural significance.
What is your work about?
My work explores the idea of subjects within a slightly misplaced context. It also considers the intersection of landscape, memory, and photography’s impact on the transformation of representation.
