REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED.

RINKO KAWAUCHI :”THE POETICS OF PHOTOGRAPHY”
November 10-12, 2025, Paris, France

In this 3-day in-person workshop taking place in Paris at the start of Paris Photo week, participants will receive the rare opportunity to meaningfully engage with acclaimed Japanese photographer Rinko Kawauchi’s celebrated work spanning over two decades and dozens of books. Through a series of presentations, Kawauchi will retrace the development of her unique intuitive creative methods in approaching as diverse a range of subjects as birds, fireworks, air, water, and light itself, all poetically captured through her keen awareness of time’s unescapable transience.

Kawauchi will then focus her attention and unique artistic lens on the participants’ work during in-depth group reviews dedicated to helping each of them identify underlying issues in their visual practice, as well as to finding sound strategies to resolve creative hurdles and successfully move projects forward to completion. The live conversations will be facilitated by a Japanese interpreter fluent in both English and French, so participants can make the most of Kawauchi’s answers and comments on their work, and activate her invaluable feedback and mentoring guidance to advance their careers for the long term.

Regular, as well as waitlist applications, are now closed (June 21, 2025).
